DEVICE FOR RECOVERING RAINWATER WATERS IN A BLADE PERGOLA
ADJUSTABLE
The present invention relates to a rainwater recovery device in a pergola with steerable blades.
There are pergolas for many years but these pergolas are fixed.
New pergolas appeared and were the subject of a French patent application FR 2 676 079 in 1991. Indeed, this application has proposed since that date, much more sophisticated products to change the shading generated pergola as needed, this also taking into account the position of the sun. The arrangement of the pergola thus described and claimed in this application also proposes to control the shading to the point of producing a closed surface and rain-proof, in a maximum pivoting position. For this purpose, the pergola proposes a realization from transverse blades, mounted in a frame supported by poles. These blades are profiles, usually aluminum, whose transverse edges allow interlocking between blades when they are fully rotated, in total occlusion position. This nesting open profiles allows, with a seal, to prohibit a flow to the right of the contact surface of this nesting.
In case of rain, the water collected on the surface made of the blades thus nested must be evacuated. For this purpose, the profiles conduct the water towards the lateral edges of said surface.
These water flows are collected in gutters, arranged longitudinally, which extend under the ends of the blades, constituting the longitudinal edges. These gutters are articulated and follow the blades to come immediately below when the blades are horizontal and to fade even lower when the blades are verticalized.
These gutters are sloped to provide a flow in the required direction and lead into descents, in this case in an improved embodiment, these descents are constituted by the hollow support columns of the frame Ç themselves. The descents are thus hidden, which is particularly aesthetic, and requires no additional conduit.
In the context of certain arrangements, blades are provided but without gutters. The absence of gutters is rather unacceptable in the case of realization of a quality pergola because on the one hand the volume of water collected is important and this volume of water flows laterally along the longitudinal edges causing strong projections in contact with the ground, and secondly once the rain stopped, the drops continue to fall from these longitudinal edges for longer, often, than the shower itself.
It is also noted that the water of the shower being not collected, it can not be directed towards a network of rainwater so it spreads over the whole surface on the ground including under the surface covered by said blades , which is not acceptable.
In order to propose an alternative to articulated gutters, the cost and technical nature of which are reserved for high quality products, the present invention aims at an arrangement comprising a fixed part and a movable part as will now be described in detail with reference to the drawings. appended, drawings on which the various figures represent a preferred embodiment, not limiting:

Figure 5: a view of the movable down baffle, out of operation, in a position with the verticalized blades,
Figure 6: a view of the movable down baffle, in operation, in a position with the horizontal blades.
In Figure 1, there is shown a perspective view of a pergola of the type receiving the arrangement according to the present invention.
A pergola comprises posts Pn, in this case four poles £ 1 to P4, a frame Ç supported in the upper part of these poles and blades Ln arranged transversely, parallel to each other. These blades are articulated about a substantially median axis and can take a substantially vertical position and a substantially horizontal position in the plane of said axes, with interlocking transverse edges to form a continuous planar surface.
Motorized or manual operating means with a pole, shown only in Figures 5 and 6, provide coordinated movements via a connecting rod.
In the view of Figure 2, the partially cutaway perspective view provides an even more readable rendition of the arrangement according to the present invention.
There is the Ç framework.
The device comprises fixed means 10 secured to beams 12 constituting the frame Ç and moving means 14, integral blades L.
The fixed means 10 themselves comprise upper supports 16, right and left blades. Each support 16 of blades is composed of a support 18 attached to the frame C and more particularly to the corresponding beam 12, in this case by screws 20 as shown in FIG. 4.
This support 18 is an angle 22 at T the upper branch 22-1 of the tee being fixed on said beam 12, laterally, so in a vertical plane.
The leg 22-2 of this jQ is then in a horizontal position. This leg 22-2 is extended by a branch 22-3, coming from manufacture with the angle 22. Advantageously, at the junction of the leg and the branch and at the upper end of the upper branch of the T, it is provided two notches 22-4 and 22-5.
These notches allow to receive the edges of a cover 24, continuous which extends all along the beam 12, regularly supported and maintained by the notches 22-4 and 22-5. Advantageously, the cover 24 is flat but of a width greater than the distance separating the two notches and the mounting of the longitudinal edges in the notches 22-4 and 22-5 forces said shutter and then gives it a slight curvature, preferably concave . The length of the leg 22-2 is adapted to come in the immediate vicinity of the longitudinal edges of the flaps L.
This upper support 16 also deflects the water directly.
The fixed means furthermore comprise fixed, right and left gutters 26, each in the form of a U-shaped rainwater collection section 28, which, like the angle iron 22, is attached to the corresponding beam 12, low position.
Each gutter 26 fixed is positioned in the lower part of the blades L in the vertical position so as not to disturb the establishment and operation of said blades.
The movable means 14, integral with the blades Ln, comprise baffles 32, longitudinal, right and left, respectively disposed along the longitudinal edges of said blades L, as shown in Figures 5 and 6.
More particularly, the deflector 32 comprises a lug 32-1 provided with a pin 32-2, able to pivotally cooperate with the blades, in particular with a housing 32-3 of said blade, visible in FIGS. The protruding length of the tab 32-1 under the blade, avoids hindering the movements of said blade and allows the collection of water flows as will be specified above.
The lug 32-1 is provided at the bottom with a J profile which receives another inverted J profile formed on the inner edge 32-4 of a 32-5 planar diverter constituting the deflector 32. A stop 32 -6, in the extension of said flat portion, is provided to receive a possible wire 33 and to ensure a given inclination of the diverter 32-5, once suspended from each blade L, in the immediate vicinity of the beam that supports the means 10 fixed. The other free end 32-7 of the differentiator 32-5 is disposed at a distance E with respect to the beam 12 in order to generate a flow space.
The arrangement is such that this free end 32-7 is located above the fixed gutter 26. The water circuit is thus subjected, on each side, to a baffled circulation between the fixed means and the moving means.
Thus the rainwater which falls directly on the baffle 16 high flows on said baffle 16 high and is led to the deflector 32 of the moving means to flow into the gutter 26.
When the blades are arranged horizontally to form a flat surface impervious to rain, the water collected on the blades Ln is driven by the profile of the blades itself to the ends of these blades. Water can flow on the deflector 32 of the moving means 14.
When the blades L are operated to let the light to a non-horizontal position, the blades supporting their moving means 14 are not disturbed.
The mobile means are lightweight and the complete arrangement remains affordable for quality pergolas without the need for oversize.
The fixed gutter 26 is easy to position on the beam that receives it.
As for the upper deflector 16, it is also of limited cost and easy to set up.
This solution can therefore be an alternative to the arrangement with a mobile gutter for collecting rainwater.
